During this time, she gained the Diploma with the Joint Dental Faculties in London, graduating in 2002. fter travelling the world treating Service personnel and their families, the time was right to leave the Army and settle in one place. Amber was an associate at The Gentle Touch for a few years during which time she graduated with distinction in the Primary Dental Care (advanced dentistry) diploma with the University of Edinburgh. At the beginning of 2017, she bought The Gentle Touch practice from Stuart Norman to become practice principal.
Her ethos is aimed around preventive care for the whole family as well as restoring teeth to comfortable and sustainable health; all with a strong emphasis on evidence.
Amber is happily married to Matthew with three children; Matilda, Monty and Bertie. Outside of dentistry, her passion lies with horses and she can regularly be seen out competing in the local area.
Holly graduated from the university of Dundee in 2016 and completed her vocational dental training at The Gentle Touch practice; trained by both Stuart Norman and Amber Aplin. She passed VT year with flying colours and because we liked Holly so much, we asked her to stay on as a dental associate.
Holly grew up in Manchester but lives in the Borders and particularly likes working in a town ‘as friendly as Kelso.’ Her interests in dentistry lie with treating the whole family as she believes in instilling good habits from a young age for life-long healthy teeth.
Outside of dentistry, she has interests in art and design, baking, as well as looking after her cat.
